Itinerary
Morning (06:00 AM): Pickup from Gorakhpur Railway Station/Airport. Early start is critical to avoid border congestion.
Border Crossing: Drive to Sunauli (95 km | 2.5–3 hrs). Complete Indian and Nepal immigration/customs (Bhansar).
Lumbini Darshan: Visit Mayadevi Temple (the exact birthplace of Buddha), the Ashoka Pillar, and the Holy Pond. Spend about 1.5–2 hours here.
The Long Drive: Continue to Pokhara (200 km | 7–8 hrs). The road from Butwal to Pokhara (Siddhartha Highway) is winding and scenic.
Evening: Arrive in Pokhara. Check into the hotel and enjoy a walk at Lakeside, where the group can find various cuisines and local shops.
Overnight: Pokhara.
Morning: Optional sunrise visits to Sarangkot (highly recommended for a clear view of the Annapurna range).
City Tour:
Phewa Lake & Tal Barahi: A boat ride to the temple situated in the middle of the lake.
Bindhyabasini Temple: The oldest temple in Pokhara, dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Devi’s Fall: A unique waterfall that flows into an underground tunnel.
Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave: A sacred cave temple located directly across from Devi's Fall.
Afternoon: Leisure time for shopping at the Old Bazaar or lakeside.
Overnight: Pokhara.
Morning: Depart for Kathmandu (210 km | 7–8 hrs).
Manakamana Darshan: Stop at Kurintar. The group will take the Cable Car (10-minute ride) to the Manakamana Temple, the "Wish Fulfilling Goddess." Allow 2-3 hours for this stop depending on the queue.
Scenic Drive: Continue along the Trishuli River, famous for white-water rafting.
Arrival: Reach Kathmandu in the evening. The transition into the valley often has traffic, so plan accordingly. Overnight: Kathmandu.
Pashupatinath Temple: One of the most sacred Hindu temples of Lord Shiva. The group can witness the holy Bagmati River and the temple's magnificent architecture.
Boudhanath Stupa: One of the largest spherical stupas in the world and a hub for Tibetan Buddhism.
Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple): Located on a hilltop, offering a 360-degree view of the Kathmandu Valley.
Evening: Free time for shopping in Thamel or New Road for souvenirs like Pashmina, Rudraksha, or handicrafts.
Overnight: Kathmandu.
Morning (05:00 AM): Very early breakfast and departure.
The Journey Back: Drive back via Mugling and Narayanghat toward the Sunauli border (~330 km | 10–12 hrs).
Final Stretch: Cross the border and continue to Gorakhpur.
Drop-off: Arrival at Gorakhpur Railway Station/Airport for the final departure.
